THE AMERICAN ABERDEEN
A Breed You’ll Love to Raise
American Aberdeen Angus are friendly, calm, and easy to handle, making them perfect for families, small farms, and anyone who enjoys working with good-natured cattle.
With backfat and a rich flavor, the breed is known for delicious, high-quality beef with excellent marbling and tenderness. In fact, many restaurants around the world serve it as gourmet beef. American Aberdeen Angus cattle are also very efficient. Because they eat only about one-third as much as traditional breeds and do well on grass alone, you can comfortably run two to three American Aberdeen on the same pasture it takes to support one full-size cow. This means more pounds of quality beef per acre.
This is a true small breed without dwarf genetics. They are naturally polled, structurally correct, and early maturing. Every animal is DNA tested for parentage, giving breeders complete confidence in their herd. Birth weights average 45 lbs. Mature cows weigh between 850–950 lbs with bulls coming in at 1,200–1,400 lbs.
We run a full-blood American Aberdeen Angus herd. Our seed stock comes from different parts of the country which gives us a diversified gene pool. All of our cattle are DNA tested and registered. They are strictly grass-fed and are happy and healthy grazing on our lush pastures.
Our cows are like big puppies and come running to greet us! Each of them has an awesome personality! We love them!
We have several sweet tempered full-blood bulls that produce beautiful offspring.
